Understanding Colors and patterns in Pomeranians:
Blue - Black Diluted to grey tone
Lavender - Brown Diluted can be soft brown to an almost silvery brown
Sable - Black tipping often found on back and/or face
Irish marked - most often white/cream on cheeks, collar/chest, paws, and sometimes belly area.
Tri Colored - usually white and black with tan points but can vary. Tan points are on cheeks and often the booty
Note that Pomeranians Coats are every changing: Pomeranians’ coats will change color throughout their lives, either slightly or dramatically. The majority of Pom puppies will start out a completely different color to what they end up as adults, with the most dramatic changes taking place between 4-6 months of age.
